In 1988 I began teaching at Vintage High in Napa. Because I wanted to work closer to my home in Glen Ellen, I began teaching at Altimira in 1993 where I have remained ever since. I am also an adjunct instructor for Foothill Community College, and coordinate a technology training program for teachers (called MERIT - Making Education Relevant and Interactive Through Technology) in my school district. In the summer of 2008, I became a Google Certified Teacher after a training at their headquarters.
Family is most important.I love spending time with my husband and our two children, Nathalie (24) and Jakob (21). Teaching Technology! Technology, gardening, cooking, great meals, dance, music, making movies, good movies...
Nearly all kinds, except some metal. And, I don't like any music that puts down any individual or group.
Movies and TV:
I don't watch television - not because I'm not necessarily interested, but because there is no time! I love going to the movies, hmm...I'll have to think about my favorites. I love thrillers, even though they keep me awake at night!
I don't play sports, but love watching my students in action on the field. My husband watches some football and baseball games and I pretend to be interested, but really, they are not very interesting to me.
I love all of the arts - I'm not a good artist myself, but admire painters, sculptors, actors...all of them.
I hope my technology students are able to use the tools they learn in this class and use them in their other classes, this year and in the future
